Do you have to remove the original leather?

Sometimes we got people asked do you have to remove the original leather?

No, please don't remove the original leather as our covers are custom made to fit the original steering wheels not bare steering wheels.
Why?

We make it simple that people can install our cover easily on their cars and easier to change another after years. In this way, it won't damage your steering wheel and it's convenient to revert it if you don't want it any more honestly.

And we understand some people love to wrap their steering wheels after removing the old leather because they like the original thickness even though our covers are only 1.4mm thickness. However, it needs more professional skills to do this job.

Some steering wheels are rubber, so it has nothing to do with "remove or not remove", it usually fits your car.

So what should I do if I want to remove the old one and get it covered?

You can measure the size of the bare steering wheel and we can make it according to your new size. Please make sure it measures the right way.

Usually we need 12 o'clock, if your steering wheel has thumb grips (bulges), please measure it as well. Sometimes measurements are also required if the steering wheel has more than 2 sizes. Don't worry about it, we will review your photo of your steering wheel and let you know ahead.
