Steering Wheel Cover For Jeep Wrangler XJ TJ Cherokee 1997-2001

Doesn’t fit. The video for my make and model shows a complete steering wheel disassembly even though that’s not required for other wheels and there is no warning about this.

Quality is great. Had a hard time but my own fault. I decided to put this on in my driveway on a very sunny day. So seeing stitches with black on black was interesting. But love it. My steering wheel was very worn and coming apart . Easy to sew once you get going. They give you plenty of thread. Two needles. Very happy with purchase.

You must wax thread (used bow string wax) and cut thread length of your arm.

Installed my cover last night! Amazing quality, far exceeded my expectations.
100/100 customer service, they helped me with the seams, I like original 3 seams, and I asked they still can do if I need 4 seams.

Looks great on. Fully expect the stitches to break in a few months. Stitched it on according to the directions (which are different than the videos you see) and as I would near the very last stitch, without over tightening the stitches, the thread would snap. I finally got it complete but expect the stitches to break soon.

The claim that this item “ships from a US warehouse” is simply not true. The tracking shows the package originated in China, went through international shipping and customs in Chicago, and was only handed to USPS for final delivery after that. That is not domestic shipping—it’s drop shipping with a domestic handoff.

If you’re expecting fast, US-based fulfillment, you are being misled.

The kit itself reflects the same lack of quality control. The instructions are poorly written and recommend lacing under the existing edge stitching, which is not a proper method and results in a weaker, less professional finish. Anyone with even basic leatherworking experience will recognize this immediately.

The included thread is thin and does not adequately fill the seam, leaving a loose, cheap-looking result unless you replace it with better material.

In short, this is a budget overseas kit being marketed as something it isn’t. You can get a decent result, but only if you ignore the instructions and upgrade the materials yourself.

Between the misleading shipping claims and the subpar components, I would not purchase this again.

Great pattern, a lot of work but it look great. The instructions don't tell you that you need to remove airbag and the trim but when you do it turns out great. I’m a skill craftsman and it took about 3 hours. I’m very pleased with the end result.
