Steering Wheel Cover For GMC Sierra 1500 Sierra 2500 Sierra 3500 Yukon Denali 2014-2020

Absolutely terrible. Button area doesn’t line up. None of the tabs are large enough to tuck in. Original leather shows. Terrible customer service. Their solutions were to “adjust it more”. They wanted to send another one with a smaller hole for the button but said showing some original leather is normal. My confidence in it fitting any better is 0. I spent HOURS stitching it on and was not going to spend another second with another one they send . They refused to refund me. Just awful. Stay away.

I put in for a refund, this cover isn't anywhere close to fitting. Completely wrong cutout shapes.

I ordered this kit with high hopes seeing all of the attention it’s been getting. I’ve done a few similar ones before so I’m not new to the install part. Came in good package, and the leather seemed good quality. Took me total around 9 hours for the install. The issue I had is that the cut on the material was wrong so there are 4-5 places on the front side of the steering wheel where there was not enough material to cover the old wheel. This ruined the look of the leather and it sticks out so driving with it is horrible because your hand catches on the extra material. The top of the wheel looks great and the stitching worked perfect up there. Just the bottom where they messed up and cut too much off. In my opinion they should have included more material than needed because it’s easy to tuck the extra or even cut it if there’s a lot but nothing I can do about not enough material

The cover itself looks fantastic. Time will tell how it holds up in the hot NC summers but I'll update this review if I have any issues.

The fitment was good but I think it could have been better; I had assumed that they cut this based on the OEM cover so I expected it to line up perfectly to the existing seams but no matter what I did I could not get it to. Perhaps this is expected, but the instructions didn't say. I will also note that this could have been due to the alcantara material that I used on the top and bottom; it is far less forgiving/stretchy than the perforated leather that I used for the sides.

The kit comes with everything you need, and more than enough thread, so don't use it sparingly; the last thing you want to do is spend 30 min fumbling with the start only to get to the end and realize you're 1/2" short on thread.

Now some tips for this specific install (2019 GMC Yukon Denali & alike):

1. THIS IS AN EXTREMELY DIFFICULT STEERING WHEEL TO COVER - Don't watch the videos showing how to install this on some simple steering wheel; it will not help you. On this wheel there are essentially 8 "corners" where the material is not very wide and you have to line it up absolutely perfectly in order to have enough material left to tuck, and not only that, you have to do that for both the front and back sides. I took way too long getting each section started to ensure it was perfect, but even still, I have one slight crease at the bottom that I could not get to go away (again, possibly due to using alcantara). If you watch stitchingcover's YouTube video on this install you'll see that even he struggles with this. I'd be very interested to remove the OEM cover and see how they line up, but you're supposed to keep it on and put this over it. Do not think this will be a quick one hour job. You can't rush it, otherwise it will look terrible. With that being said, it is certainly doable.

2. If you have buttons on the back of your steering wheel, save yourself some time and pry them out from outside edge of the wheel (not the edge closest to the airbag) before you start. There is a tiny connector that pulls out. These buttons are a very tight fit which makes it very difficult to tuck the material under. And popping them back in when you're finished is extremely satisfying.

3. The tape is nice to have, but I would not suggest using it on this install. As mentioned, it is not easy to line up, so I found myself untucking edges and shifting things as I went along. I imagine that this would have been even more frustrating if I had used tape. With that being said, as long as you stitch it tightly, it holds very well without it.

I deducted one star for the fitment issues I had, the very vague instructions, and the fact that they do not have a video on their YouTube channel showing a close-up example on how to start the thread. Ultimately I figured it out on my own, but I see a lot of people asking for this and as far as I can tell it does not yet exist.

Overall, I'd definitely buy again. The quality is excellent, the materials seem to be high quality, and the price is fair. Shipping takes a little while for custom orders, but that's to be expected coming from China.

You need some common sense and about 2 hours to get it done but they turn out nice! Super happy with mine. 100 for their customer service, they helped me with the coffee color, really like it!

This looks perfect, and I like the leather quality, it fits well. The back button they precut it but I think it's still small, maybe you can make it bigger a bit so it will work better, thanks! 100 for customer service!

So at first I was really impressed. It was packaged nicely and was very attractive. I watched YouTube videos from Stitching Cover on installation multiple times before I attempted to install. That is when I learned that beauty and quality are not always congruent. The thread broke multiple times. Had to improvise how to fix that mid stitch. Then when using the supplied tool to tuck the leather, the cover tore in multiple places. Very disappointing after I had much higher expectations.

Just got mine today. Super excited to put it on and have a new looking steering wheel again! After 2.5 hours, my wheel gets nice, the quality is perfect, like the leather feeling, much better than original. 100 for customer service.
